The department maintains individual laboratories for algae biotechnology research, agricultural biotechnology, applied animal cell biology research, biochemical engineering, environmental biotechnology research, biochemical pharmacology research, cytobiology research, biotechnology research, biotechnology teaching, and fermentation. The department also provides special purpose laboratories with ample space and equipment, as well as practical training, for student special-topic research. Equipment for student experimentation is provided in groups of 3-4 people per set. Students are encouraged to utilize these learning resources independently and understand concepts through hands-on training.
